About My Experience
I have worked in a number of companies focusing on service delivery to subscribers over broadband networks. I have had responsibilities that have ranged from real-time embedded coding, Assembler, C, C++, and Java architecture and software development, to systems engineering, product management, and ultimately to become an executive in and R&D organization for a major MSO.
My industry focus has been cable TV (broadband service delivery and architecture). I have consulted to CableLabs, been involved in standards setting bodies such as DAVIC, and been actively involved in industry next generation standard setting consortiums such as NGNA (Next Generation Network Architecture).
Generally my areas of technical focus are control and management systems for the provisioning and management of the delivery of services to end users on broadband networks. This includes a detailed focus on systems integration, distributed management, scheduling systems, OSS, diagnostic tools, customer care tools, embedded systems control, and multi-vendor platforms.
I have been a sole contributor, as well as manager of large staffs of technical professionals. I have learned the important and essential skill of how to influence across professional organizations, including: staff, managers, executives, customers, partners, and vendors.
I have been responsible major programs across the full lifecycle development, from conception to deployment, and have successfully defined, delivered, and deployed a number of significant new systems and platforms.
About My Objectives
At this stage in my career I am looking for one or more of the following opportunities:
- To play a key role in introducing advanced broadband services to new environments/operators who do not yet have an established broadband service delivery business.
- To lead the efforts of standardization for broadband provisioning and service delivery within and organization and across the industry.
- To mentor, lead and direct the efforts of a technical software staff in delivering advanced and sustainable software systems.
- To build a new organizations of technical professionals dedicated to broadband architecture and service delivery.
- To provide technical and business expertise in assessing the capabilities of vendors and operators for consideration of investment, partnership, or business opportunities.

| Technical | I have a thorough and complete knowledge of systems, services, networks, and software that go into making up a triple play service delivery platform. I am able to work with the platform as a series of systems, or drill into detail and address issues with pinpoint accuracy. |

Thus, not only am I able to envision and specify systems, but I am able to propagate systems through a development organization effectively.
